Windermere Abode featured in National Association of Realtors magazine

Owners Anne and Dave Jones were interviewed by the National Association of Realtors about their efforts creating an inclusive and diverse real estate brokerage while focusing on DEI initiatives.

From the article, Anne states: “We’re talking about market stats and we’re talking about Juneteenth in the same 45-minute office meeting,” said Anne. “It’s important to create that space and normalize those conversations.”

While the world continues to make strides toward beating the pandemic and getting back to a sense of normalcy, Dave reiterates that he’s continuing to keep the DEI discussion at the forefront while fighting the natural inclination of many to move on.

“We’ll keep showing up in these conversations as long as I’m in this industry, or any industry for that matter. Systemic racism is the backbone of how this country was founded, and white supremacy is at the root of that. It is our responsibility to both acknowledge and reconcile with that as a country if we are to truly live out our ideals. Until I see that happen, I we’ll keep doing what we can.”
