Welcome to the bustling Stadium District!

The bustling Stadium District has just about everything you could ask for. With a diverse offering of eateries and a new pizza-by-the-slice restaurant slated to open the Summer of 2018, the Stadium district will be a destination for many Tacomans looking for a bite to eat, a place to meet up, grab your daily coffee fix after a quick jog.

Wright Park

Home to more than 600 trees, this 27-acre park is located right in the middle of 10 city blocks. The park boasts an Arboretum, Greenhouse, exceptionally maintained lawn bowling green, children’s play area with a sprayground, and a basketball court. The park is a Tacoma mainstay, and home to events such as Ethnic Fest, Stadium High School Cross Country meets, Movies in the Park, and much more.

Stadium High School

Coined by locals as ‘the Castle,’ Stadium High School is amongst the most beautiful school campuses in the nation. The building’s claim to fame has been “the school where Disney’s ‘10 Things I Hate About You’ was shot.” Stadium was recently gutted and remodeled in 2004, and it also was voted in the top 13 places to watch a football game by ESPN, due to it’s sweeping views of the Puget Sound.

But wait, there’s more!

Feeling like having a couple of adult beverages and partaking in a little friendly competition? The Rhein Haus is a great place to let your hair down while playing bocce ball, enjoying their signature giant pretzels, and partaking in their selection of on-tap microbrews. ABODE RECOMMENDS: share a giant pretzel with your group, or take in breakfast with the pork schnitzel breakfast dish

For those into Asian cuisine, the duo of the Indo Asian Street Eatery, and Moshi Moshi have you covered. At the Indo Asian Street Eatery, take in the industrial design while munching on their diverse menu of affordable Southeastern Asian street food. ABODE RECOMMENDS: the Miso Glazed Salmon

Next door at Moshi Moshi, an equally affordable menu is available, but you can expect the same amount of quality at Indo, as the two ventures are tied to the same restaurateurs. Enjoy an intimate atmosphere with dishes that look almost too beautiful to eat. ABODE RECOMMENDS: Broth + Noodles

A couple doors down from Indo and Moshi Moshi is Shake, Shake, Shake, a classic burger and shakes joint. Snap a picture for social media next to the infamous “EAT” sign while waiting for your classic crafted burger. The decor is straight out of the 50’s era shake joint. ABODE RECOMMENDS: a milkshake, ANY flavor (hence the restaurant name)

If you are looking for more places to eat or go in the Stadium District, check out the Art House Cafe, The Copper Door, or check off your grocery list at the hub of the district, Stadium Thriftway, which has been in operation and serving the Stadium community since 1985.
