Fresh fruit wineries are just an hour and a half drive to the agriculturally rich city of Yakima. When it’s canning and pickling season, you can pick up boxes of cherries, peaches, pears, nectaries, apples, apricots and asparagus. More than 30 varieties of fruits and vegetables are from the Yakima Valley. It also cultivates 17,000 acres of wine grapes, the most in the entire Pacfic Northwest. From Yakima to the Tri-Cities, there are 42 wineries, including the popular 14 Hands Winery. The Treveri Sparkling Wine House is a must on your winery visit list though.
