6th Annual Community Dinner Kits

The holidays are fast approaching, and we know there are many families in our community who could use a little help this season, now more than ever since 2020 has impacted many. For November, we’ve decided to help Abode broker Melo Hogan collect food and assemble her annual “Community Dinner Kits” again this year.

Last year we were able to provide close to 50 dinner kits for neighbors in our community, and we’d love to be able to help more families this year!

A dinner kit includes:

1 turkey, 2 boxes of stuffing, 1 carton of chicken stock, 1 container of French fried onions, 2 cans of green beans, a bags of potatoes, 1 large can of cream of mushroom soup, 2 cans of cranberry sauce, 1 bottle of sparkling cider and 1 pumpkin pie - everything to make a wonderful and filling dinner.

If you’d like to help, here are some ways you can get involved:

DONATE $$$: If you’d like to make a monetary donation it costs $50 to fill a box that feeds a family, but any donation amount is accepted. Even a $5 or $10 donation gets us closer to providing another meal to a family in need. Deadline for donations is November 15th so we can plan our dinner shopping.

DONATE TIME: If you’d like to donate your time, we could always use a helping hand! We’ll need people to help make deliveries to families. More info to come on location, date and time.
